About the Award
14 May 2022 and it is was awards night at the Annual Dinner of the Fine Art Trade Guild in Stratford upon Avon.
Alongside the other winners of artistic, framing and business prizes we proudly accepted the industry's best website award.
There were no acceptance speeches but if there had been I would have thanked three people or groups of people. The Guild and e-Mango for sponsoring the award and the judges for voting for us. Glenn for his amazing efforts in developing the site over the years, and the travelling companions and photography mentors that have helped me to create the images which make up much of the site's content.
About the Website
We thought we'd share some information about our website.
What makes a good website? The ability to drive business due to appearance, easy navigation on any device, and powerful search engine rankings. www.MrSmithWorldPhotography,com ticks all these boxes.
Custom designed from the ground up the site is absolutely unique and is not used by any other business either within or outside the art world. At the front end it has a clean contemporary design. Under the hood is a powerful database which enables sophisticated searches and assists search engine rankings.
Technically sound built according to modern best practises, the site works cross browser and is fully responsive facilitating use on desktop, mobile and tablet devices with links to the common social media platforms. There is also a blog used for occasional posting.
E-commerce facilities are based upon a custom built shopping cart which links to the World Pay secure payment system.
It is our only marketing tool apart from word of mouth and has generated print sales from thousands of private and business buyers world wide. Customers range from individuals to world class organisations and the website works effectively for all buyers. Different audiences use it in different ways – for some it is an online store, or the start point for a follow up conversation, and for others a place for casual browsing.
With approximately ten thousand pages, we are committed to maintaining, regularly updating and improving content. We ensure messages are strong, clear and consistent and facilitate informed decisions or enjoyable casual browsing.
We are proud of our site. It works well for us and creates the wow factor we need to be associated with our brand and image.
We were delighted with this latest award which now sits alongside our best international e commerce website presented to us by the Master Photographers 'Association.
